Letter from Larry Snellings - Senior Hazardous Materials Consultant |
This letter is to confirm the officers and staff of Dangerousgoods.com, Inc. have been trained and are qualified to handle dangerous goods in accordance with current domestic and international regulations.
"C.F.R. 49 " covers the laws for packaging and shipping requirements. The Department of Transportation does require certification for employees or employers who handle hazardous materials in conjunction to and for the purpose of transportation of said materials.
To help companies meet these requirements my company has provided consulting and classes, training manuals, and instructors both in house and through universities across the USA. D.O.T requires that any employee who handles haz-mat as a part of their job in conjunction with the packaging of, the transport of, or receiving of must be trained in general awareness and job specific functions of the applicable regulations.
I have been in the transportation industry since 1978, I have been consulting and teaching classes in the transport and packaging of haz-mat since 1980. This is my 29th year as an instructor.
I have been an instructor for: The National Spill School Corpus Christi Texas, The Coastal Bend Business Round Table, I have also taught classes for: Lamar University, Houston Customs Brokers & Forwarders Assoc., New Orleans Customs Brokers & Forwarders Assoc./ Mobil Customs Brokers & Forwarders Assoc. & The University of Houston Clear Lake.
I look forward to working with you and your staff in the days ahead.
Best regards,
Larry Snellings
Vice-President
Thank you for inquiring about our services:
Dangerousgoods.com, Inc. is a Full Service company training for the safe transportation of cargo, in compliance with current regulations and in accordance with U.S. and International Law. We have provided this service for over 29 years in the US and overseas markets. Here is a list of some of the services we offer:
Class is limited in size so please sign-up early to confirm your number of students. The class starts at 9:00 am or we can arrange a time to fit your needs. If you can provide lunch and breaks in morning and afternoon this will make the class run smoother.
You will need to provide a TV & VCR with a flip chart for class use.. If you can not provide these items, we can provide them for the class at additional cost. Under normal circumstances, classes will be over by 5pm.
Each student will be tested and certified in training for compliance with US and International Law for the Safe Handling and Transport of Dangerous Goods. The instructor has over 29 years hands on day to day working knowledge of regulations, paperwork, packaging, marking, labeling, segregation, as well as other requirements to help you safely and legally prepare, inspect, and or ship dangerous goods by highway, air, rail, or ocean.
We look forward to working with you and your staff in the near future.

If you have four or more people to train, it may be less expensive for us to come to you instead of sending your staff out of the office and out of town. Dangerousgoods.com, Inc. will provide the instructor and manuals. Dangerousgoods.com, Inc. will provide testing and certification of training to each student who completes the class. Classes start at 8:30am and end at 5:00pm. Breaks are usually scheduled to accommodate class and usually are one in the morning and one in the afternoon. If your company can provide lunch this allows more time to be spent on class instead of waiting for students to come back from leaving your facility. You will need a flip chart / eraser board, a TV / VCR and a class room setting if possible. Please advise if you do not have any of these items. We will need a list of students for preparing certificates. Also your company logo for the front of the manuals.
